Company Class

SIGN UP FOR YOUR COMPANY CLASS AUDITION

Company Classes will work with a professional director for four weeks to broaden performance skills, deepen knowledge of theater, and produce a show. Classes are held 8:15AM - 4:20PM at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, with public performances on the Friday and Saturday at the end of the session. Company Class is for students entering grades 9-12 in Fall 2024, and is by audition only. Note: Students must have previously participated in any Theater Academy class (Summer or School Year) to audition for Company Class.

Company Class Student Expectations:

  • Serve as a role model of teamwork and positive energy for all other students.
  • Support and encourage each other to do your best.
  • Take on the additional challenge of both class work and rehearsal.
  • Carry the Company Class legacy of leadership, energy, discipline, focus, and joy.

Sign Up for an Audition:

All auditions are held at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center on:

  • Wednesday, February 28 from 4:30-6:30 PM in Rehearsal Hall B (located in the lower level)
  • Saturday, March 2 from 2PM-4PM in Rehearsal Hall A (located in the lower level)
  • Wednesday, March 6 from 4:30-6:30PM in Copland Hall (main level)
  • Saturday, March 9 from 10AM-12PM in Copland Hall (main level)
  • Saturday, March 16 from 2PM-4PM in Copland Hall (main level)

Please let us know if you would like us to hold a spot in a different class, should you not be accepted.

If accepted, the Early Bird Tuition rate for Company Classes is valid through April 20

Audition Requirements:

  • A memorized monologue of 1-2 minutes in length, classical or contemporary, based on which class is your first choice.
  • If you want to be considered for a musical, you will also need to prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song, which you will sing a cappella, unless it is noted than an accompanist will be provided on the audition sign-up page.
